Job Title: Microsoft SQL Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Languages: French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Korean, Japanese , Russian , Brazilian Portuguese

Qualification/ Experience:
Candidates should be an IT Administrator, Software Engineer or Highly Technical Linguist or equivalent, with the following experience
• Microsoft SQL Server (Advanced\Expert)

• Relational databases and query languages, SQL databases in particular

• MS Server products in particular (SQL, SharePoint….)

• Server products in general

• MS Business Platform products (Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Azure, Microsoft BizTalk Server, Windows Server AppFabric and Windows Azure platform AppFabric, Windows Communication Foundation, and Windows Workflow Foundation)

Ideally candidate will have MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) qualifications. These can be Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Microsoft Certified IT Professional and/or Microsoft Certified Master (http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-sql-server.aspx).

Involvement creating and delivering in training material for Microsoft SQL ( Guides, courseware, classroom) a distinct advantage

Native speakers with an excellent command of English (especially written skills for communicating bugs and defects to client)

Project Scope Phase 1

SME review of existing localized product , including approx 150,000 words of UI (Dialog boxes) and 100,000+ words of online User Assistance (documentation and help)

Start: ASAP for 6-8 weeks , review must be completed before next release goes into production (end July)

Phase 2

SME review of next release in tandem with translation. No scope known yet. Approx time frame mid August – end October (Expect a more stop start approach than Phase 1)

Task Description SME will concentrate on the technical accuracy of the localized product referring to the US source and supplied reference material.

SME will not look for style, register, typos or other linguistic aspects

All findings to be logged in Microsoft Bug database (Product Studio)
Rate and Availability Hourly rate will be agreed per language. Throughputs to be ascertained separately. Please send along suggests rates and throughputs with candidate CVs.
